Home for the weekend. I can hear my brother writing music on his guitar in the next room. And here I am writing about sea cucumbers. What the hell?

Wednesday, October 22, 2008

Today was the coldest it's been since last winter, I think. And this Saturday it's supposed to be above 70 degrees. My clothing is angry about the lack of consistency. My sweaters are getting frustrated and my plaid shorts will hardly talk to me anymore.

I can't wait till it's 10 degrees and everything is frozen and unmoving. Because no one can talk when it's that cold. Not even my slippers.

I'm in a state of musical transition. Going from:
Emotionalism The Avett Brothers
Distance and Time Fink
Let Go Nada Surf
Wincing the Night Away The Shins
At Mount Zoomer Wolf Parade

To something more along the lines of:
Broom Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin
The Loon Tapes 'n Tapes
The Stand Ins Okkervil River

But somehow I'm stuck in:
Home Vol. 5 Ben Gibbard and Andrew Kenny
Loyalty to Loyalty Cold War Kids
For Emma, Forever Ago Bon Iver

And anyway, I'm not sure I'm moving in the right direction. I wish the new Born in the Flood album was out already.

Oh sweet Jesus, PHISH will tour again! I can now die a legitimate music lover and person.

HAPPY OCTOBER!
