Today I marched in this protest:
It was anti-greenwashing, and as usual was spotted with anti-war signs too.
We marched down 16th Street to three different buildings housing companies that are guilty of greenwashing.
Shouting shouting shouting:
WHAT DOES DEMOCRACY LOOK LIKE? THIS IS WHAT DEMOCRACY LOOKS LIKE!
Before that, Hello Kavita played a free show in the Virgin Megastore courtyard.
I love them, so it was an ok trade off for not winning tickets to see Rage Against the Machine, but that would have been incredible and will be historic.
Before Hello Kavita, I joined a very long line of people spanning about two blocks. We all wore white shirts and read a speech delivered by James Wilson during the Constitutional Convention in 1787 followed by the Preamble to the Declaration of Independence.
Day 3 and I still haven't been arrested! Thank goodness.
